The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office responded to a trespass in progress in the Town of Forestport. According to Oneida Sheriff Robert Maciol the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Recreational Vehicle Enforcement Unit received a report of a trespass in progress. The Recreation Unit along with the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol and a NYS Forest Ranger responded to the NYS owned train trestle bridge over Kayuta Lake off of Trestle Rd in Forestport on 7-30-20 at 7:15 pm. Deputies and the Ranger located and Identified 24 individuals trespassing on the clearly marked “no trespassing “ train trestle bridge. Trespass charges will be filed on a later date.
