The Oneida County Sheriff's Office Marine Patrol Unit…

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office Marine Patrol Unit investigated a boat accident on Delta Lake on August 9th 2020 that occurred at approximately 7:50 P.M. The investigation revealed that the operator Jonathan Rodriguez of Utica was operating his 1987 Bayliner when he entered into a hazardous area marked by buoys and ran aground. Rodriguez was towing a female on a tube when they ran aground and the female sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to St Lukes hospital for evaluation. Rodriguez was issued tickets for violation of the navigation law and is to appear court at a later date. The Oneida County Marine Patrol was assisted at the scene by members of the road patrol, Western fire department, and Amcare ambulance.
