According to Oneida County Sheriff’s Office(OCSO) Chief…
According to Oneida County Sheriff’s Office(OCSO) Chief Deputy Derrick O’Meara, Director of the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center(CAC), a Marcy man, Francesco Affatigato, age 29, was arrested by members of the CAC on August 12, 2020.
On July 30, 2020 a report was made to members of the Utica Police Department, that on July 3, 2020 Affatigato had engaged in sexual intercourse with a female child less than 15 years of age, in the City of Utica. The Utica Police Department then turned the case over to the CAC for further investigation. As a result, Affatigato was arrested by OCSO Sgt. M. Bolton and UPD Investigator Titus Ciccone and charged with one count of Rape in the Second Degree, a Class D Felony. Affatigato was arraigned at Utica City Court and was remanded to the Oneida County Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or bond and has since been released. An order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim. The victim has been offered services through the CAC.
