According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert Maciol; On August 21, 2020 at about 1220 PM, Deputies responded to State Route 365 in the Town of Verona for a reported three car motor vehicle accident.

Upon arrival, Deputies determined that Cheryl Roth (75), of Canastota, NY, was operating a blue 2014 Chevy Cruz westbound on Route 365. Roth attempted to make a left hand turn onto Route 31 from a steady red arrow and struck a white 2017 Lexus ES350 heading Eastbound operated by Thomas Iacovissi (55), of Rome, NY in the front end of the vehicle causing heavy damage to both vehicles. After the collision, Iacovissi’s vehicle then struck a white 2009 Jeep Wrangler operated by Clay Miller (22) of Sherrill, NY, who was stopped in the right turn lane on Route 31 towards Route 365 eastbound, in the front driver side corner causing damage. Roth was transported to Oneida City Hospital for further treatment for face and hand injuries, and no other injuries were reported. Roth was issued a citation for failure to stop on a steady red arrow returnable to Town of Verona Court at a later date.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office were assisted on scene by the Oneida Nation Police Department, Verona Fire Department, and Vineall Ambulance.
