According to Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Derrick O’Meara, who is the Director of the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center, an 11 year old juvenile male from the Waterville area was referred to Oneida County Juvenile Probation for engaging in inappropriate sexual contact with a 4 year old female child and a 10 year old female child.

Sheriff’s Investigator Mark Chrysler was assigned the case on August 31, 2020. The investigation revealed that the acts committed by the 11 year old, which occurred in the end of August, would constitute 2 counts of the charge of Sexual Abuse in the 1st Degree, a Class D Felony, if committed by an adult.

The victims have been offered counseling services through the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center.
