According to Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Derrick O’Meara, Director of the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center, a Boonville man, Scott Snyder, 22, was arrested in the Village of Boonville as a result of an indictment warrant from Oneida County Court for the charge of Predatory Sexual Assault Against a Child, an A-II Felony. The indictment was the result of an investigation conducted by Inv. Ryan Marshall, who is assigned to the Child Advocacy Center. An investigation revealed that in the spring of 2019, Snyder engaged in sexual contact with a 12-year-old child while in the Village of Boonville. On 09/04/2020 members of the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Warrant Unit and NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Snyder in the Village of Boonville. Snyder was arraigned in Oneida County Court where he was remanded to the Oneida County Correction Facility without bail. The victim has been offered counseling services through the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center.
