According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert M.

According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert M. Maciol, 1 person was sent to the hospital following a single car motor vehicle accident in the Town of Marcy.

On September 4th, 2020 at approximately 7:18 pm, Deven R. Davis, age 23 of Westernville, New York was operating a 2011 Mitsubishi Endeavor westbound on State Route 49 in the Town of Marcy when he lost control and struck the guide rail with the front left of his vehicle. Davis continued to the ride the guide rail for approximately 20 feet before he attempted to correct himself which caused the rear of his vehicle to lose traction and strike the guide rail again with the rear driver side of his vehicle. Davis complained of lower back pain while on scene. Kunkel Ambulance responded to the scene and Davis was ultimately transported to Rome Memorial hospital for his injuries. Davis was issued a traffic summons for failed to keep right which is returnable to Marcy Town Court at a later date.

Assisting on scene were members from Kunkel Ambulance, New York State Police and the Stittville Fire Department.
