According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, a Chenango County man, Tomas Gager (26) was arrested following a Domestic dispute that occurred at Mohawk St in the Town of Paris on Saturday September 5, at about 11:00 AM. Upon arrival investigating Deputies observed damage to the residence and a vehicle that was parked in the driveway. After interviewing multiple parties it was determined that Mr. Gager arrived uninvited to the residence and attempted to enter through a bedroom window that he had smashed out. Mr. Gager was out raged with a former girlfriend and mother of their 2 small children and a second former male friend. Mr. Gager fled the scene prior to LE arrival in reckless manner and returned to Chenango County. Several hours later Mr. Gager voluntarily surrendered to a State Trooper of out Norwich that was conducting a traffic stop. The entire incident occurred in the presence of the two toddler children. Mr. Gager was charged with 2 count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child and 1 count of Harassment. The case remains under investigation and more charges may be filed. Mr. Gager was arraigned at CAP Court and released with an Order of Protection. The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by the New York Stated Police.
