According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, on September 23, 2020, at approximately 6:30 PM, Road Patrol Deputies responded to an address on Skinner Road in the Town of Westmoreland for a reported ATV accident. Upon arrival, Deputies along with Fire Department Personnel located a deceased 72 year old woman. Due to the rough terrain where the woman was located, multiple ATV’s were utilized by emergency personnel. The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Sheriff’s Office Recreation Unit, the Westmoreland Fire Department and the Oriskany Fire Department. At this time, the investigation is ongoing and the name of the deceased will be withheld pending next of kin notification.
