According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, a two month long investigation into the sales of cocaine, prescription medications, lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD), marihuana, concentrated cannabis, THC vape cartridges and THC edibles resulted in the execution of a search warrant at 3854 Oneida St. in the Town of New Hartford this morning. Investigators assigned to the Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit along with the Metro SWAT team, which is compiled of members from the Sheriff’s Office, Utica Police Department and New Hartford Police Department, executed the warrant this morning and seized LSD, prescription medications, marihuana, concentrated cannabis, THC vape cartridges, THC edibles, psilocybin mushrooms and a large amount of money that Investigators believe is proceeds from the drug sales.

Due to the New York State Discovery Procedures that were put in place in the beginning of this year, the procedures that Investigators now follow required the suspect in this case to be immediately released without being charged following the execution of the search warrant. The case will eventually be presented to an Oneida County Grand Jury to be heard and Jurors will determine whether to indict the suspect or not. If Jurors find the accusations presented to them to be true, an arrest warrant will subsequently be issued by an Oneida County Court Judge and the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Warrants Unit will then locate the suspect and make the arrest.

Sheriff’s Office Investigators were assisted at the scene by members of the Forensic Identification Unit, the Road Patrol Unit and members of the New Hartford Police Department.
