According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, on October 22, 2020, a male was arrested following a domestic incident in the Village of Sylvan Beach.

On October 22, 2020 at approximately 1715 hrs. Deputies along with New York State Police, responded to an address on Vienna Rd. in the Village of Sylvan Beach regarding a domestic call for service. Upon completing an investigation, it was determined that, Brandon Hatton (28) of Sylvan Beach, NY was trespassing on the property and had violated a stay away order of protection. Hatton was taken into custody and transported to the Oneida County Sheriff's Office. Hatton was charged with criminal contempt in the second degree , a class A misdemeanor and trespass, a violation. Hatton was booked/processed at the Sheriff's Office and then transported to the Oneida County Correctional Facility for an arraignment in CAP court.
