According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, a Rome man was injured following a 1-car rollover crash on Rome-Taberg Road in the City of Rome this morning just before 10 AM. Daniel H. Wossner Jr. 27, of Rome was driving a Hyundai sedan westbound on Rome-Taberg Road when he swerved to avoid a deer in the roadway. Wossner's vehicle went off the road, struck the ditch and overturned. Wossner was transported by AmCare ambulance to St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Utica to be treated for non-life threatening injuries. No tickets were issued. The City of Rome Fire Department, AmCare ambulance and the New York State Police assisted on scene.
