According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol:

​On November 10, 2020 at approximately 1606 hrs. Deputies responded to a reported single motor vehicle accident with injury, located at 1529 State Route 69 in the Town of Camden. Upon completing an investigation, it was revealed that Brenden Correia (21) of Camden was operating a 2016 Nissan Rogue eastbound when he fell asleep behind the wheel. Correia's vehicle then left the roadway along the northern shoulder, striking a camper, solar panel, and the residence at 1529 Route 69, before overturning and coming to rest.

Correia was transported by Camden Ambulance to Rome Memorial Hospital for further treatment.

The Oneida County Sheriffs Office was assisted on scene by the Camden Fire Department and the Camden Ambulance.

Correia was issued a citation returnable to the Town of Camden court at a later date.
