Sheriff’s Office Delivers 100 Turkeys To Those In Need In Our Community Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol was happy to announce that Trinity Food Services, the company that provides the food services to the correctional facility has provided 80 turkeys and local company, Smith Packing, has donated 20 turkeys to the Sheriff’s Office, all of which will be donated to those in need in our community. The first stop today was at the Utica Fire Department’s Central Fire Station on Bleecker Street where 80 turkeys were donated to the Utica Food Pantry. The second Sheriff’s Office stop was at the Free in Christ Pentecostal Church on Miller Street in Utica where 10 turkeys were donated. The remaining 10 turkeys will be donated tomorrow to another local organization in need and that will be announced in a separate release then. According to Sheriff Maciol, “the Sheriff’s Office is proud to be able to assist one hundred families in our community who are truly in need. There’s nothing more important than family, especially during these challenging times, and I am glad that we can play a small part in making these one hundred Thanksgiving dinners a little brighter. Thank you so much to Trinity Foods and Smith Packing - this would have not been possible without your generous donation”. All of the frozen turkeys that were donated averaged 20lbs each.
