According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, on November 18, 2020 at about 9:30 pm, deputies responded to a reported structure fire at 8211 Deeley Rd. in the Town of Vienna. Initial reports were that the structure was fully involved and that there might be a person trapped inside the structure. McConnellsville, Vienna, Taberg and Camden Fire departments were dispatched to the scene to extinguish the fire as well as AmCare Ambulance. At approximately 12:30 am, an adult body was located within the burned structure. The body was secured for positive identification and examination by the Onondaga County Medical Examiner’s Office. The name of the subject will not be released at this time pending positive identification and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
