According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, an Apalachian woman and her passenger were injured following a 1-car rollover crash on Preston Hill Road in the Town of Vienna just after noon today. Aryn Nelson, 20, of Apalachian, New York was driving a Jeep south on Preston Hill Road when she attempted to turn left onto California Road without adequately slowing. Nelson lost control of the Jeep due to her speed and the vehicle overturned before coming to rest on it's roof in the road. Both Nelson and her passenger, Tyler Washer, 22, of Oswego were transported by Vineall ambulance to SUNY Upstate in Syracuse for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Nelson was cited for speed not reasonable and issued a summons returnable to Vienna Town Court. Members of the North Bay Fire Department and the New York State Police assisted on scene.
