According to Sheriff Robert Maciol, one person was taken to the hospital after motor vehicle accident that occurred Sunday, on Rt. 69 in the Town of Annsville. At about 9:50 AM Sheriff Deputies responded to a call of a car that struck a guard rail and was off the side of the road. It was determined that the operator was traveling east on Rt. 69 when they experienced a medical emergency. While the driver was pulling to the side of the road the vehicle struck a guard rail, and came to rest on the south shoulder of the road. The operator was traveling alone and no other vehicles where involved. The operator was treated at the scene by members of the Taberg Fire Department and transferred by AmCare Ambulance to Rome Memorial Hospital. Deputies were assisted on the scene by the New York State Police. Due to the call being medical in nature no further information will be released.
