According to Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Derrick O’Meara, Director of the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center, a 19 year old Utica woman has been arrested for assaulting a one year old female infant.

On October 10, 2020 the Child Advocacy Center was contacted by the Utica Police Department who had received a report that a one year old infant was being treated at a local hospital for injuries to her face and a healed fracture to her right elbow.

Utica Police Department Investigator Titus Ciccone, assigned to the Child Advocacy Center, conducted the investigation.

On December 7, 2020, Investigator Titus Ciccone assisted by Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Investigator Mark Chrysler arrested the 19 year old woman in the City of Utica, charging her with one count of Assault in the Second Degree (D Felony), one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child (A Misdemeanor) and one count of Filing a False Written Statement (A Misdemeanor).

The 19 year old female was arraigned in Utica City Court by Judge Ralph Eannace, who released her in her own recognizance.

An Order of Protection has been requested on behalf of the victim and services have been offered through the Child Advocacy Center.
