According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, a City of Syracuse man was arrested for entering a garage and stealing a side-by-side off road vehicle. On November 11, 2020, the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol Division along with the Madison County Sheriff’s Office responded to an address on Morgan Road in the Town of Vernon for reports of a burglary in progress. During the investigation, the Sheriff’s Office was also assisted by the Oneida Nation Police Department and a suspect was identified. On December 23, 2020, the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Unit arrested Alexander M. Kastner, 18, for Burglary in the Third Degree and Grand Larceny in the Third Degree, both D Felonies. Kastner was processed and held at the Oneida County Jail pending an arraignment at the Centralized Arraignment Court located at the Oneida County Correctional Facility.
