According to Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Derrick O'Meara, who is the Director of the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center, a Town of Annsville man has been arrested.

On December 23, 2020 OCSO Inv. Nicholas Dean, who is assigned to the CAC, began an investigation into a report of an adult male making sexual contact with a female child. The investigation revealed that Brian Steria, age 39, subjected two female children under the age of 17 to sexual contact.

On Wednesday December 23, 2020 Steria was arrested by OCSO Sergeant M. Bolton and Inv. Dean. Steria was charged with two counts of Rape in the First Degree, a Class B Felony. Steria was arraigned on December 24, 2020 in the Oneida County Centralized Arraignment Court and was held in lieu of $100,000 Bail.

An order of protection was requested on behalf of the victims and services are being offered to the victim by the Child Advocacy Center.
