According to Sheriff Robert Maciol, a Sauquoit man received minor injuries in a 2 car crash on Rt 12 in the Town of Marshall.

As investigated and reported by Dep. B. Warcup, Clarence Morgan, 76 of Sauquoit, was operating a 2008 Toyota traveling northbound on Rt 12 in the Town of Marshall. As he approached the intersection of Lewis Rd, Colleen Baldwin, 55 of Waterville, operating a 2019 Ford was stopped facing northbound on Rt 12 preparing to turn left onto Lewis Rd. Baldwin began to start her turn when Morgan approached from behind and collided with the rear of Baldwin’s vehicle as she was making the turn. Baldwin was able to complete her turn where her vehicle became disabled on Lewis Rd. Morgan’s vehicle left the eastern shoulder of Rt 12 and stopped in a field. Morgan was transported by Central Oneida County Ambulance to Community Hospital in Hamilton for a minor cut on his hand and a complaint of chest pain. Baldwin was not injured. Also assisting at the scene were members of the Waterville Fire Dept. Morgan was issued a summons for following too closely which is returnable in the Town of Marshall court at a later date.
