According to Sheriff Robert Maciol, a man previously charged with damaging vehicles at the Oneida County Jail. Was arrested once again for failing to answer criminal charges.

James W Yelle, 35, was arrested by Deputies on November 27, 2020, after he was released on un-related charges from the Oneida County Correctional Facility. While in the parking lot of the facility, Yelle damaged three employee vehicles and was immediately taken into custody by Deputies.

Yelle was charged with two class “ E” Felonies and one class “A “ Misdemeanor for the vehicle damage. As a result of New York’s Bail Reform Laws, Yelle was released on appearance ticket and has yet to answer those charges.

Deputies at the Oneida County Office Building Security Unit, received information that Yelle was wanted on three separate warrants out of the Utica Police Department.

Each related to an Obstruction of Breathing charge a class “A” misdemeanor.

Yelle, who frequents the building was located on premise at or about 0900hrs.

He was taken into custody on the Utica warrants and turned over to that agency.

Yelle’s arraignment status in the City of Utica is not known at this time.
