According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, on January 21st, 2021 at approximately 7:15 PM, Deputy Sheriff's investigated a two car motor vehicle accident with reported injuries on Route 26 in the Town of Vernon. The investigation into the accident determined that Theodre Milewski, 66 of Utica, operating a 2019 Sorrento, was traveling southbound on Route 26 and failed to stay in his lane of travel causing his vehicle to enter the oncoming lane of travel. Milewski then subsequently collided head on with an oncoming vehicle, a 2012 Chevrolet Sonic operated by Elizabeth Allers, 31 of Deansboro that was traveling northbound on Route 26 and caused damage to both vehicles. Allers and her passenger John Mcneil, 33 of Vernon Center were not injured. Milewski complained of chest pain and also appeared to be having diabetic issues. Milewski was transported to the Oneida Health Hospital by Vineall Ambulance.

Citations for failing to keep right have been issued at this time to Milewski, returnable to Vernon Town Court at a later date. Deputies were assisted on scene by Vernon Fire Dept., Merrell’s Collision and Clinton Collision.
