According to Sheriff Robert Maciol a portion of Route 26 in the Town of Lee is closed due to a property damage accident involving a tractor trailer. At about 12:25 PM Deputies responded to a report of a tractor trailer that slid off the shoulder of the road and struck a telephone pole. There are no injuries reported in the accident. Route 26 between Struen Rd. and Stokes Rd. will be closed for National Grid to repair the damaged pole. The repairs may take 4 to 6 hours, as estimated by National Grid. Further information will be forwarded when the road is reopened.
