UTICA WOMAN RECEIVES MINOR INJURIES IN ONE CAR ROLLOVER

According to Sheriff Robert Maciol, a Utica woman received minor injuries as a result of a one car motor vehicle accident on Rt 12 in the Town of Marshall.

As investigated and reported by Deputy B. Warcup, Alyssa Cornelius, 29, of Utica was traveling southbound on Rt 12 in the Town of Marshall at about 6:50 AM, when her vehicle lost traction on the snow and slush covered roadway. Cornelius attempted to regain control and over corrected causing her vehicle to spin and leave the roadway on the westerly shoulder at the intersection of Lewis Rd. Cornelius’ vehicle struck a snowbank which caused the vehicle to rollover several times before coming to rest on its’ wheels. All airbags deployed and Cornelius was wearing her seatbelt which attributed to her only receiving a minor bump on her head. Cornelius was evaluated on the scene by members of Central Oneida County Ambulance and declined transport to the hospital. Also assisting on the scene were members of the Waterville Fire Dept.
