According to Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Derrick O’Meara, Director of the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center, a 52 year old Rome man, Ronald Carollo, has been arrested for subjecting a 12 year old female child, and a 13 year old female child, to inappropriate physical contact.

On December 31, 2020, the Child Advocacy Center received a report that a 12 year old girl had been subjected to the touching of her intimate body parts while in the City of Rome, in August of 2020.

Utica Police Department Investigator Titus Ciccone, assigned to the Child Advocacy Center, conducted the investigation.

During the course of the investigation, it was learned that a 13 year old girl had also been subjected to the touching of her intimate body parts in a separate incident in the City of Rome, in December of 2020..

On February 25, 2021, Investigator Ciccone, assisted by Rome Police Department Detective Alex Sypniewski, arrested Ronald Carollo, in the town of Whitestown, charging him with two counts of Forcible Touching, (A Misdemeanors), and two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, (A Misdemeanors).

Carollo is accused of subjecting the two children to the inappropriate physical contact on the two separate occasions.

Carollo was processed and released with appearance tickets to return to Rome City Court on a later date.

An Order of Protection has been requested on behalf of the victims and services have been offered to the victims through the Child Advocacy Center.
