According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, a Town of Verona man has been arrested following a physical domestic with his girlfriend. Christopher Skinner, 34, was arrested late Sunday night following a physical domestic incident with his live-in girlfriend. The domestic incident occurred at their residence in the Town of Verona around 6:21 PM. Deputies were notified when a neighbor heard screaming and yelling coming from the residence and called the police. When deputies arrived Skinner had left the scene in his vehicle. The victim had visible injuries to her face, which she stated she received from being punched reputedly with a closed fist by Skinner. She also stated to police during the incident Skinner took her cell phone and left with it. She was transported to Oneida City Hospital by Amcare Ambulance where she was treated for her injuries. A BOLO (Be On the Look Out) was given out for Skinner and his vehicle. Skinner was located in the City of Oneida by Oneida City Police Officers and taken into custody without incident. Deputies took custody and transported him to the Law Enforcement Building for processing. Skinner was charged with Assault 3rd and Petit Larceny, both Class A Misdemeanors of the NY State Penal Law. Skinner was turned over to the Oneida County Jail to await his arraignment in CAP Court.
