According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, two people were injured in a motor vehicle accident in the City of Rome. On 04/01/2021 at about 2:00PM, Dawson Cook, age 21, of Rome was driving his 2004 Toyota Rav 4 east on Route 365 in the City of Rome. Cook lost control of his vehicle when he hit a patch of slush in the roadway and collided with the ditch causing his vehicle to overturn. Cook and his passenger, Kyra Shlotzhaur, age 20, of Oneida suffered minor lacerations to their hands. They were treated on scene by members of the Rome Fire Dept and released. No tickets have been issued.
