According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, there was a 1 car motor vehicle accident on Route 49 in Marcy at around 10:40 PM on May 4th. Edward Saunders, age 41, of Utica was operating a 2013 Honda westbound on Route 49 in Marcy when he struck the barrier. Saunder's passenger, Shateka Williams, age 35, or Rome was transported to St. Elizabeth's Hospital by Kunkle Ambulance for chest pain. Saunders was not injured. Saunders was issued a traffic citation returnable to Marcy Town Court at a later date.
