According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, on May 20, 2021 at about 12:00 P.M. the Sheriff’s Office responded New York Mills School for a possible threat made by a juvenile student. The incident was investigated and deputies determined the threat to not be creditable. The school was not placed in lockdown due to this incident. The Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Unit is reviewing this incident, however no charges are being pursued at this time against the juvenile student.
