According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, On May 26, 2021, at approximately 11:46 am, The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Security Unit was notified that there was a report of a domestic dispute out in the parking lot of the Oneida County Courthouse located at 200 Elizabeth Street in the City of Utica. Upon further investigation into the incident, Deputies determined that 30 year old Dominique J. Simmons from the City of Utica violated the Order of Protection by entering the victim’s home earlier in the morning along with following the victim to the Oneida County Courthouse during the incident. Simmons was arrested and transported to the Law Enforcement Building where he was processed and charged with Criminal Contempt second a class A Misdemeanor. Simmons was held at the Oneida County Correctional facility awaiting arraignment.
