According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, on 5-30-21 at 1355 hrs the Oneida County Sheriff’s Marine Patrol assisted with a SAR (search and rescue) on Oneida Lake in Oswego County.

The Sheriff’s Marine Patrol was in service and patrolling Oneida Lake when the USCG (United States Coast Guard) sector Buffalo initiated a SAR. The coordinates given were between buoys 121 and 123 which is in Oswego County. Oneida County Marine 1 was first on location at about 1405 hrs and began searching.

West Monroe Fire Department was command during this search. Nothing was found during this search and it was called off at 1507 hrs.
