U.S. ROUTE 20 OVER NORTH WINFIELD CREEK

Village of West Winfield, Herkimer County

The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) Utica Regional Office has issued the following travel advisory for motorists in the Village of West Winfield, Herkimer County:

Starting Tuesday,June 8, 2021 U.S. Route 20 in West Winfield will be closed indefinitely to traffic in both directions for culvert repair. The closure will be located ¼ mile east of the intersection with North & South St. (NY Route 51).

Variable message signs will notify motorists of the road closure and to follow a signed detour.

Motorists are urged to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
