According to Oneida County Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy Derrick O'Meara, Director of the Child Advocacy Center, a Utica man was arrested by members of the CAC on 6/23/21. On 6/22/21, an investigation was initiated by the Utica Police Department regarding an adult male having subjected an underage female to sexual contact. Due to the age of the female, the investigation was turned over to the Child Advocacy Center for further investigation. Through investigation, it was learned that on April 2, 2021 Mula Moo, age 25, was alone in a vehicle with a 14 year old female child, who was asleep. While the child was asleep, Moo subjected the child to sexual contact. Moo was arraigned at the Oneida County CAP Court, charged with Sexual Abuse in the first degree, (a Class D Felony), and was remanded to the Oneida County Correctional Facility in lieu of $15,000 cash bail. An order of protection was issued on behalf of the Victim, who has been offered services through the Child Advocacy Center.
