Earlier today, Sheriff Maciol was excited to participate in the ribbon cutting ceremony for the opening of the NYS Route 28 bridges in Forestport after a much needed $2.2 million dollar rehabilitation project. The Sheriff’s Office provided extra patrol coverages at peak traffic times in the hamlet as the residents dealt with a significant number of motorists not utilizing the appropriate detour during the reconstruction which in turn caused frustration and congestion. Thank you to the NYS DOT for getting this project done ahead of schedule.
