Maine Couple Injured In Rollover Accident

On June 26th, 2021 at 4:24AM, the Oneida County Sheriff's Office responded to a one car rollover motor vehicle accident that occurred on State Route 46 in the Town of Western at the intersection of Main St., injuring a Maine couple.

According to Sheriff Robert Maciol, Rebecca M. Berry, 18 years old, from Maine, was traveling Southbound on Main St., approaching the intersection of State Route 46, in her 2011 Ford. Berry was not familiar with the road and did not slow down for the sharp curve before the intersection. Berry attempted to make the turn, but her vehicle traveled off the South shoulder of Main St. Berry's vehicle continued traveling Eastbound, and then across State Route 46 to the East side of the road where it struck the ditch and overturned.

Berry and her front seat passenger, William J. Emrich, 20 years old, from Maine, were transported to Rome Memorial Hospital for evaluation for minor injuries. The Oneida County Sheriff's Office was assisted at the scene by the New York State Police and the Westernville Fire Department.
