According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, on 06/27/2021 at approximately 1:38 AM Oneida County Sheriff’s Deputies performed a traffic stop on a U-Haul Box Truck on Route 69 in the Town of Whitestown. During the traffic stop the driver, Rafael Prestol, 43 of Ilion, NY was found to be in possession of a switchblade knife. Prestol was subsequently charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, a class D felony. He was transported to the Oneida County Law Enforcement Building where he was processed and is awaiting arraignment at the Oneida County Central Arraignment Court.
