This past spring while at a NYS Sheriff’s Association training seminar in Albany, Sheriff Maciol had the privilege to meet Dr. Perry Frankel, a Board Certified Cardiologist and Lipidologist and multi-state diagnostician. He is also a recognized national speaker on various topics including hyperlipidemia and hypertension.

Advanced Cardiovascular Diagnostics focuses on the prevention of significant debilitating events ultimately saving lives. Dr. Frankel has designed a strategically targeted methodology to identify individuals, especially members of the law enforcement career, that are most at risk for a cardiac event. He explained that his group travels around the country in buses equipped with state of the art testing equipment providing on site cardiac testing to those on the front lines protecting their communities.

Sheriff Maciol invited Dr. Frankel to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office and they arrived last week. Over a period of four days, Dr. Frankel’s awesome team met with and tested nearly 125 members of the Sheriff’s Office and Police Departments that serve our county.

Providing critical services like this to our dedicated men & women will keep them in the best of health so that they, in turn, can keep Oneida County and its’ people safe!
