According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert M. Maciol two people were charged after they were found to be driving around in a stolen vehicle taken from the City of Utica. A deputy conducted a traffic stop on Mappa Ave in the Village of Barneveld at approximately 6:30 PM. The deputy was able to determine the vehicle had switched plates. After an investigation deputies were able to positively identify that the vehicle was stolen out of the City of Utica on June 24th. The driver Peter Clark, 28 and Alexis Broadbent, 24 both of Barneveld were each charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 4th degree an E Felony by the Criminal Investigation Unit.

Both parties were issued appearance tickets returnable to Town of Trenton Court at a later date. Clark was issued several traffic tickets returnable at a later date as well.

The Sheriff's Office was assisted by the New York State Police and the City of Utica Police Department.
