The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office was honored to participate in the celebration of Joseph A. Sommers 105th birthday! Seaman Joseph A. Sommers, of Floyd, is also a WWII Veteran. Sheriff Maciol presented Sommers with the credentials making him an Honorary Member of the Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff Maciol also presented a proclamation on behalf of Oneida County Executive Anthony J. Picente Jr. declaring today “Joseph A. Sommers Day in Oneida County”. Happy Birthday and thank you for your service, Seamon Sommers!
