According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol; On July 23, 2021, at about 11:45 PM Sheriff's Deputies responded to Capron Rd in the Town of Lee for a report of a personal injury motor vehicle accident.

Deputies determined that Trevor Ammon age 26 of Lee was operating a 2012 Ford Focus South on Capron Rd when he exited the roadway on the Eastern shoulder. Ammon continued to travel South down the shoulder of the road striking several trees. After colliding with a large tree Ammon's vehicle came to rest in the roadway. Ammon was evaluated on scene by EMS of was flown by helicopter to SUNY Upstate Hospital in Syracuse with several broken bones and internal injuries. At a later date and time, Ammon will be issued Uniform Traffic Tickets returnable to the Town of Lee Court.

The Sheriff's Office was assisted on scene by the New York State Police, Lee Center Fire Department, and Amcare Ambulance.
