According to Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Derrick O'Meara, who is the Director of the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center, a Town of Remsen man has been arrested for Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

On July 19, 2021 Investigator Nicholas Dean of the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office and Investigator Titus Ciccone of the Utica Police Department, both assigned to the Child Advocacy Center, arrested Rickey Belcamino, age 40, of the Town of Remsen following a joint investigation with the Oswego County Child Advocacy Center. Belcamino, who had inappropriate contact with a female child under the age of 17, was charged with one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a Class A Misdemeanor. Belcamino was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the City of Rome Court at a later date and time.

An order of protection was requested on behalf of the victim and services are being offered to the child by Oswego County Child Protective Services and the Oswego County Child Advocacy Center.
