Trenton Man Arrested

According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol the Sheriff’s Road Patrol responded to a residence in the Town of Deerfield for a reported domestic dispute today at about 7:30 AM. As police arrived at the scene the suspect fled in a vehicle, and would not comply with police officers attempting to stop him. Through investigation it was learned that the suspect was a Andrew J. Jones, 31, of Trenton. The Oneida County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Unit assisted with the investigation, and the Forensic Identification Unit processed the scene for evidence.

Andrew Jones after speaking with officers by telephone agreed to turn himself in at the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office. Jones was booked on the charges of Burglary in the Second Degree a class C Felony, Criminal Contempt in the first degree a class E Felony, and other misdemeanor charges. Jones is currently awaiting arraignment at the Oneida County Centralized Arraignment. The victim has an Order of Protection in place from a March 2021 incident with Jones, where he was arrested for Strangulation/obstruction of breathing in the second degree.
