Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol’s Marine Patrol Unit is advising all boaters in Oneida County to use extreme caution on the waterways this weekend.

Water levels are extremely high and many docks are under water. Marine Patrol members have witnessed trees, docks, boats and many other smaller items floating today in Oneida County waterways. These objects could cause serious hazards to boats operating in our waterways.

The high water levels will cause boat wakes to travel further than normal inland . These wakes could cause damage to shorelines, docks and personal property.
