According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, a Vienna man was arrested following a domestic with his wife on Tuesday, August 24th. According to the Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to Elpis Rd in the Town of Vienna for a reported domestic with a firearm involved. Deputies were advised the suspect, Malcom Tilton 69, had shot and killed the family's dog following their domestic. Upon deputies arrival, Tilton was taken into custody. From statements, Tilton made he was sent to the hospital for a mental health evaluation. Tilton was arrested for animal cruelty and released to hospital staff with an appearance ticket. Tilton is to appear in the Town of Vienna Court at a later date. Tilton's wife was not injured during their domestic.
