Today, the Oneida County Sheriff's Office joined the City of Utica, NY Police Department, Utica Fire Department, Utica Mayor Robert Palmieri, and Pathways to Justice Careers Project Director Stephanie Heiland for a Graduation Ceremony at Utica City Hall.

Thirty City of Utica youth took part in the Pathways to Justice Careers Program that was held at MVCC.

Sheriff Maciol was able to present Hser Eh Ler Tah and Jaden Retamar-Butler with $100 Certificates of Scholarship for their efforts in the program, to be used upcoming education in the field of Law Enforcement. This funding was provided by the Oneida County Sheriff's Law Enforcement Foundation.

This 4-week program exposed the students to what is involved in careers of Corrections, Police, Fire, and EMS. Learning was conducted both in the classroom and with a physical fitness program.
