Today, the Oneida County Sheriff's Office, joined local Police, Fire, EMS, Elected Officials, and Community Members at events in New York Mills, New York, and Utica N.Y. in remembrance of the tragic events 20 years ago on September 11, 2001. The Honor Guard lead the Silent March and Sheriff Maciol placed a rose at the monument in New York Mills. In Utica members of the Sheriff's Office attended the dedication of their 9/11 park, with Sheriff Maciol and Undersheriff Lisi placing American Flags, each with the name of someone who lost their life on 9/11/01.
