According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert Maciol, on September 19th, 2021, around 6:30 AM, Road Patrol Deputies responded to a single motor vehicle accident, which occurred on Wolcott Hill Rd, near Waldron Rd, in the Town of Camden. Road patrol deputies determined Robert Jacobs (36) of Annsville, was operating a 2016 Jeep Compass, North bound on Wolcott Hill Rd, when he fell asleep while driving, causing him to drive into a ditch, which was located on the opposite shoulder of the roadway. Jacobs sustained minor injuries to the head and neck areas and was transported to Rome Memorial Hospital, via Camden Ambulance, for further evaluation. Jacobs was cited on scene for failure to keep right.

Deputies were assisted on scene by the Town of Camden Fire Department.
