Thank you to Assemblywoman Marianne Buttenschon for hosting and inviting Sheriff Maciol to be part of a tour of several farms in Oneida County today. Assemblywoman Buttenschon had several of her fellow Assembly Members from all around NYS in attendance along with representatives from Oneida County - Cornell Cooperative Extension and the NY Farm Bureau. With agriculture being Oneida County’s largest industry and being a farmer himself, Sheriff Maciol spoke about the importance of farm safety along with presenting several Slow Moving Vehicle (SMV) emblems to several farmers today. These SMV’s were purchased with funding through the Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee.
