According to Oneida County Sherriff Robert Maciol, a Clinton woman sustained minor injuries as a result of a two vehicle crash on Route 233 in the Town of Westmoreland just after 7:30 this morning. Tianna Converse, 38, of Clinton was northbound on Route 233 in a 4D Mitsubishi when her vehicle struck a Freightliner flat bed truck being driven by Paul Sierson, 21, of Westmoreland which had stopped in traffic off of the east shoulder of Route 233. Sierson was not injured. Converse was transported by COCVAC to Rome Health where she was treated and released with minor injuries. The investigation determined that Converse failed to exercise caution when approaching the stopped vehicle and she was issued a traffic summons returnable to Westmoreland Town Court. Kirkland Police assisted at the scene, along with members of Westmoreland Fire and COCVAC.
